BFT Cycle , is a loop where we all fall into and we don’t even recognize it happening in our everyday life as we being a Christian and being a God’s child we need to break the chain loops and we need to keep moving forward towards God. Before breaking the chain loops, we first need to know what is BFT Cycle and we need to observe ourself in regular basis — which phase we are in or are we been struck in between of this cycle or are we fallen into the loop.
WHAT IS BFT?
BFT — It is all about Believe, Faith and Trust. You might think, you believe, you have faith, and you have wholeheartedly put on trust – In him (Our Lord, Yahweh)
Let me ask you one thing – Can you be honest for yourself this time? Ask these question to yourself.
- Have you really believed in him?
- Have you really had faith in him?
- Have you put your trust in him without even doubting for a second?
Now ask yourself, Do we really know the deeper meaning of BFT – Believe, Faith, Trust? Most of you still say — “Yes, we do really know that believe, faith, trust are one and holds the same meaning”. Let me clear that for you — It may look as one and holds the same meaning. But, It is not really what it looks like. Let me tell you a simple example —
EXAMPLE OF BFT CYCLE
FATHER , SON, HOLY SPIRIT
There are one and the same. But — Father, Son, Holy Spirit works in different ways and holds different purpose. But, In the end Father, Son, Holy Spirit are the one and same.
Likewise….
BELIEVE, FAITH, TRUST (BFT CYCLE)
There are one and the same. But — Believe, Faith, Trust works in different ways and holds different purpose. In the end Believe, Faith, Trust are the one and the same and It finally leads us to our destination (Our Lord, Yahweh). This BFT is a process which help ourselves to find our start and our end and help us to grow, and understand. Have you recognized yourself on which phase you are on – Is it on believe, faith, trust or are you stuck in between?
Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding.
The Importance of Self-Reflection
You might think, do we really need to question ourselves and recognize where we are. Is it not enough, we just believe in him and lead our life without complications. Sometimes, when it comes to worldly thing, we feel too complicated for certain things but still we take time and try to figure out to move forward in our life.
But when it comes to Godly thing, without figuring out we think — it will be too complicated to ask ourselves so, without complication we live our life and we just believe in him and we will saved and when we die, we will go to heaven. I think, It is not really that simple to be saved or go to heaven without even knowing who the God is.
So we need to question or recognize ourself that how deep in our heart, we believe in him or how much we have travelled with him and which phase we are in, and how much we have built a place for our God.
Ensuring We Don’t Get Stuck in Life’s Tunnel
If you still think — it will be complicated. Later, at end times it will be too late to realize that we are still standing at the starting of the tunnel but not at the end of the tunnel. Because we never figured out or tried to understand to reach the final destination. There is a lot of difference between believing within our mind, and trusting within our heart are totally different chapters and life we will be always travelling on.
And what you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?
Let me give you a simple example — In our life, our health is the main source. In order to live a long lasting life, we usually analyze and check our health by consuming what kind of food we eat or drink so that we don’t get any complications later. Likewise — we need to analyze and check ourselves so that we will not be struck in between but it will help us to move forward towards God (Our Lord, Yahweh).
God’s Care for Creation: Lessons from the Birds
God said - Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air, they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
This is one of my favorite verse, God is telling us that we should not worry about worldly things but instead spend time in him to learn and grow more so we will be loved and we will be saved. Before, knowing about clear picture of BFT – Believe – Faith – Trust. We all know, there is always a beginning and an end. Just like Beginning of Genesis and End like Revelation. Just like that, BFT – Believe – Beginning, Faith – Middle , Trust – End. Now, Let me tell you a clear view of how Believe, Faith, and Trust is like. Here, are some example you can look into which I have taken from some bible verses.
Understanding and analyzing WITH EXAMPLES
EXAMPLE one - Faith Pleases God
(Hebrews 11:6)
Believe – Who comes to God.
Faith – Without faith, it is impossible to please God.
Trust – He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.
From Example 1 — In the beginning without having any proof or evidence we come to him, that is believe. When we come to faith, we need to build our faith in him and without faith we cannot grow in him. In the process of trust, we will be rewarded for all the good deeds we do in him. So, put your seed in your heart and begin to water by believing, following, growing, and put all your faith in him as a believer you will be rewarded with good fruit.
EXAMPLE two - Word and Faith
(John 1:1)
Believe – In the beginning was the word.
Faith – The word was with God.
Trust – The word was God.
From Example 2 — We can learn, how to grow our knowledge from a normal believer to a true Christian. In the beginning, when we start reading a bible as a believer we start to believe the word. And when we start to learn more about him and we build the Foundation of Faith in him we think the word was with God. But, when we build the trust, we surely learn the word was God. So, we need to start from being a believer and being a normal Christian we need learn and take every step and every word about him. So, we can change ourselves from a normal Christian to a true Christian.
EXAMPLE three - Eternal Life Through Christ
(John 10:25-30)
Believe – I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my father’s name testify about me. But you do not believe because you are not my sheep.
Faith – My sheep listen to my voice, I know them, and they follow me.
Trust – I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my father’s hand. I and the father are one.
Example 3
In believe, God says I did tell you, but you do not believe. We as being a believer we see his works, we see his love, we see his pain, we see his sacrifice but still we do not believe because we expect something more to be received from him. God says, My sheep listen to my voice, I know them, and they follow me.
In faith
We being a sheep we know his voice, we listen to his word and God being a shepherd, He listen to our heart, He listen to our voice. In and out — He completely knew us, because He being our God He never abandoned his sheep. God says, I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.
In trust, with the knowledge of God we know what life is about. When we are in the process of trust, no matter what the circumstances are — we trust in him, we walk with him, we pray to him, we praise him, we listen to his word, we listen to voice and we never turn our back from him, no one can snatch us out from his hand because we are his sheep.
EXAMPLE FOUR - Declare With mouth
(Romans 10:5-13)
Believe – They confession in their heart
Faith – Word is near you, it is in your mouth and heart.
Trust – Declare with their mouth, Jesus is lord.
From Example 4 — We being a believer, we see his miracles but yet we feel shame to confess that He is the true God. So, we confess in our hearts. But when we have faith in him, we know his word is near us, it is in our hearts and our mouth but we are not confessing with out mouth. But in trust, we being a true Christian we declare with our mouth He is the God, Our Father, Our Shepherd. So, we being a true Christian and the child of God we never should feel shame when we declare He is the God, He is the word, He is the Alpha and the Omega, He knows everything He is our savior and helper. Now, Start confessing with your hearts and declare with your mouth loud and clear.
EXAMPLE FIVE- Strengthening Your Spiritual Walk
(Ephesians 6:12)
Believe – Do not enter or know about any spiritual battles.
Faith – They think and wrestle against flesh and blood.
Trust – For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
From Example 5 — When we are in believe phase, we do not know about any knowledge on spiritual battles or how to fight a spiritual battle. When we start to gain wisdom of word and godly things, with these little knowledge we start to battle against flesh and blood. But when we grow more closer to God, when we ask him — we will gain the real knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding in this trust process.
EXAMPLE six - Strength in Waiting
Believe – But I said to you that you have seen me, yet do not believe. (John 6:36)
Faith – But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. (Romans 8:25)
Trust – But those who wait on the lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)
From Example 6 — Some of us when we are in believe process, we see God but it will be hard to accept him and to believe in him because in our life we cannot change something we are already used to. So, for us it will be very complicated to believe something new and to change our ways and life. But when we start to believe in him, grow in him and have faith in him, we ask for things which we do not have. It might be worldly thing or godly thing we will be waiting for it so patiently. In that waiting season, we should have great strength so we will put trust in him. For us it doesn’t matter how long or short the waiting time is. We know we will be blessed greatly at the end waiting season.
From above examples, we can see how believe, faith, trust process are. We always need to start from believe and we need to build the faith, and with faith in our hearts we will be travelling on trust.
From some bible verse you can clearly see how God speaks to us and help us understand how many good deeds He has done for us. In some other bible verses He keeps telling — He is with us, He loves us, He knows us completely. Each bible verse is a message from God — either it will bring the change within us or it will help us to grow more in our faith.
